Custom Design

Custom Wedding Stationery:
There are two options to suit your budget and timeline. You may choose to order through our ready-to-go Studio Collection or decide to start from scratch {literally, we start with a blank canvas!} and proceed with the Custom Design process. If you choose a suite from the Studio Collection, you have the ability to take that design and customize your paper, ink color & font choices! The timeline for this option is quicker than the custom timeline, and a basic invitation set starts at $5.95 {for a flat panel invitation, postcard rsvp and invite envelope} ~ please note, everything is a la carte, you don't have to order in sets or certain quantities. The 100% custom option starts with 10 unique designs created just for you. The timeline for the custom process is longer {12 weeks min.} and a basic set starts at $7.20.

There is only a minimum of $100 per invitation order and a $100 deposit fee to get the process started (which goes towards your final invoice). There are no quantity minimums or increments in which you have to order. We also offer many items beyond the invitations, to make your stationery complete and consistent! Choosing from the Studio Collection:
  1. Please take a look through our Studio Collection Gallery to choose the suite that fits your style. {please note: I will also apply the studio prices if you choose any design from our gallery of previous custom work!!}
  2. We meet or talk over phone/email so you may choose your fonts, paper & ink colors, customizing the your chosen suite. After that, I require a $100 deposit that all goes towards your final invoice.
  3. Once all of your wording and insert information is received as well, a digital proof is prepared and we work through any additional changes. {no extra costs for proofing}
  4. Once everything is finalized and approved, and a final full payment is received, we will starting printing and assembling (or not assembling if you choose to order your items unassembled at a discounted rate), which can take up to 2 weeks depending on season.
  5. We can either meet if you are local to W. Michigan or I will ship your final order via USPS Priority Mail.

Please allow 4-6 weeks before you would like the invitations sent out to order from the Studio Collection.

The custom process that Syd Design offers is very simple:
  1. We meet or talk over phone/email so we can get a sense of your event details and your design style. There is a long list of questions we can fill out together or you can fill out on your own time.
  2. After the $100 deposit is received, 6.25 creates around 10 sample invitations just for you.
  3. From there, we continue to make changes to reflect every desired detail.
  4. Once there is a set design and insert info, I will send a final sample in the mail for your approval.
  5. Upon final approval and payment, your invitations are assembled and ready for stuffing! (or printed and ready for assembly if you are a DIY assembly bride!)
  6. We can either meet if you are local to W. Michigan or I will ship your final order via USPS Priority Mail.

Please allow at least 12 weeks before you would like the invitations sent out to go through our custom process.
We fill up quickly, so earlier is better!

Pricing

6.25 Paper is proud to offer services for a range of budgets. I like to be upfront about all prices. Below is a basic idea of how each piece is priced. There are no extra charges for our consultation or meetings along the way!

  • Deposit ~ The $100 deposit goes towards your first set of custom digital samples (or your first digital sample for the Studio Collection). This deposit if put towards your final invoice. If you decide to go in another direction, we keep the $100 deposit to cover the sample(s) made.
  • Invitations ~ The invitation piece starts at $4.00 for a basic "one-sheet" invite on heavy textured cardstock. The price increases at each additional embellishment (ribbon, embossing, etc.) or paper added to the design. The trendy pocketfold styles range in price from $9 to $12 each. There is a full range of options between $4 and $12, which includes some other "pocket" options.
  • Inserts ~ 1.50 cents each for standard-sized inserts (4.25" x 5.5") or smaller.
  • Envelopes ~ Envelopes range from 55 cents to $1.10 each depending on the style and thickness you prefer. Most often, brides decide to match the envelopes to the invitation paper, which is around 55 cents each, although upgrades such as double envelopes and lined envelopes are available too.
  • Tax ~ The standard Michigan State sales tax (6%) will be added to all materials.
  • Shipping ~ I will often meet with brides and hand deliver completed items. In some cases shipping is necessary to brides not in the Western Michigan area. I do my best to find the cheapest and safest way to ship items, and will charge only for the price of shipping. There is no "handling" fee.
